The Norwalk Transit District has been awarded federal funding to undertake a study of the South Norwalk Railroad Station site for the purpose of establishing the station as an inter-modal transportation facility. An inter-modal transportation facility is designed with the intent of providing optimal, seamless connections for passengers between a variety of transportation modes including rail, public transit, automobile, and bicycle/pedestrian access.
